The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has been commissioned by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to commence Medicine and Surgery.
FUTA is one of the leading university of Technology in Nigeria famous for its notable contribution both within and outside the country.
And now, the Institution is set to perform yet another outstanding feat by including Medicine and Surgery course to her list of full time Academic programmes.
This was confirmed by the National Universities Commission after a Resource Assessment and Verification visit by panel of experts to the Proposed medical programme of Federal University of Technology, Akure.
Stating in the official circular, the Director of Academic Planning in person of Dr. N.B. Saliu mentioned that the Executive Secretary has considered and approved the establishment of the full time mode of Medicine and Surgery course in the Institution.
